Psychology of Cancer Stage 8: Negative Emotions

Psychology Cancer Negative Emotions. We’ve been following the different stages of the “Psychology of Cancer” and this one, “Negative Emotions” refers to how a person finds no outlet to express their wounded feelings. Usually, in this stage, a person accumulates their emotional toxicity and keeps it within. In other words, this type of reaction will cause a person to hold back on facing their emotions due to a number of reasons. Emotions such as fear, guilt, despair, and confusion can play a role in this stage.

Now that we understand this stage, how do we process it and overcome it?

I wish there was a magical solution but it is not realistic, as we are all very different in how we are wired and how we experience trauma or difficult situations. I am a very emotional person, this is how I was created and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. The same is true for those that experience this stage and react in the opposite way by holding it in. Although I have not experienced this stage, I understand that either one is neither right nor wrong, it is just different.

I have learned that emotions are there to provide information, these are not right or wrong. We MUST learn to acknowledge, process, and let them go. Sounds as simple as 1-2-3 but is it? You are right… It is not!

In my journey, I have learned to overcome negative emotions by working on mindset. It is actually a choice, and we always have a choice in how we choose to think. It’s these thoughts that will impact our feelings. If you are experiencing this stage, I would strongly encourage you to follow these steps to release these emotions from within:

  • Pray.- this never fails – It is known that prayers drive darkness away. I encourage you to check out my Prayers, these can help!
  • Write a journal.- Putting your feelings on paper will help you release what you are carrying, while it may not resolve your immediate challenge, it will most definitely provide relief. This is actually how I got my blog started!
  • Focus on the Truth, not the Facts.- While facts give you insight on where one can be, it does not tell the truth of where we are headed. Relying and believing in FAITH on God’s promises can help you overcome your current state and launch you into the future you & Him desire… A long prosperous, healthy life!

Lastly, remember there is always HOPE, no matter what your situation looks like. I sincerely hope you find this article helpful for your journey and as always I welcome your thoughts, comments, emails, I just love hearing from you. Sending you much love and healing always!
