How to Stay Optimistic in the midst of Adversity?

Stay Optimistic in the midst of Adversity. Health challenges have been around since the beginning of time. We live in a broken world and as such sickness and disease have been prevalent in humanity for ages. Today, we are living in a historic time, a time, never seen before, some compare our current world status to the Hitler regimen, a communist civilization not yet seen by all.

You may agree or you may not, but either way, my job is to show up here and share with you a journey of truth and what I personally apply in my life to help me cope with life’s adversity and face what at times seems unimaginable.

I wish I could say I am humble and unselfish but the truth is that sharing my journey brings me much healing and blessings. The fact that this post could help you well, that is a major bonus.

I have been told before, Karen you always see adversity as opportunities, and that is true. However, when it involves elements that go beyond me, well that is scary!

So how do I choose to be optimistic in midst of adversity? Yes, you guessed it! I run to my safe place,… Jesus!

I can tell you that I tried yoga, meditation, drinking, addictions, but nothing absolutely nothing has brought so much delight in my life like being in His presence. Trust me I understand if you think this is nonsense, and it really wouldn’t take much for me to share with you a list of things for you to do to clear your mind to keep you positive, but honestly, that will all fade because its substance lacks the spirit of God.

Living under His presence brings joy, strength, courage, peace, forgiveness, acceptance, and LOVE. His Love and acceptance keep me optimistic about today and the future. It takes faith to believe or not to believe. I choose to set my eyes in the eternal and believe that His plans are perfect for me and those I love. I want to invite you to be open and ask Jesus to help you be optimistic during these difficult, uncertain times. Like I said it takes faith to believe or not to believe, either way, it will always be our choice.

So today, I want to encourage you to believe in the possibility that while we are here on earth, you will choose to believe that you are part of a beautiful play, and you get to choose your part in which role you get to play. Play your part with just one audience in mind, HIM. May His strength give you the joy and optimism to carry out your role in fullness.
