Dealing with a Life-Threatening Illness
Father, the enemy has come to steal my life because that is what he does: steals, kills, and destroys. But I trust in Your Word which says You have come that I may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10). Even though the doctor’s report is negative, I know that You have the last word regarding my life. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed (Psalm 139:16).
Forgive me, Father, for any door I may have opened for this sickness by not being a good steward of my health. Surround me with Your tender mercies so I may live (Psalm 119:77). Raise me up as a testimony of Your great healing power. You are the same miracle-working God yesterday and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
I take authority over every malfunctioning part of my body. I command each one to be made whole. I decree that I will not die before my appointed time, but will live to tell what You have done (psalm 118:17). Therefore, I say on the authority of Your Word, that with the stripes of Jesus, I am healed! (Isaiah 53:5). In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!
